As a tech enthusiast with over a decade of experience in IT, I enjoy technical challenges, automating systems, working with code, and developing solutions to solve problems.

The legendary MS-DOS 6.22 operating system is where I found my love of computers growing up.
Countless late nights were spent rebuilding systems and upgrading hardware components.
Evenutally, working in the industry became a natural progression - from hobby to profession.

Currently, I’m focused on exploring cloud platforms, automation and DevOps practices.

My goal for this site is to document my continuous learning journey and passion projects.
Hopefully this will provide some value to others along the way.

  • Make/Model: Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 5
  • OS: Fedora Workstation 44
    • Previously ran Ubuntu, occassionally distro-hopping when I feel the urge.
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8840U w/ Radeon 780M Graphics
    • Thirsty on battery life, but I prefer real “Full-Fat” cores over “E-Cores”.
  • Memory: 32 GB DDR5 (2x Crucial 16GB DDR5 5600Mhz SODIMM)
  • Storage: 2TB SSD NVMe (1x Samsung 990 EVO Plus)
  • Displays: 2x Dell UltraSharp U2424HE 24" FHD 120Hz USB-C Hub Business Monitor
    • The built-in USB hub + 2.5Gb Ethernet ports are handy to have!
  • Keyboard: Keychron K8 Pro (clickity-clack mechanical)
  • Mouse: Logitech M280 (boring but reliable)

🏔️ When I’m Not Doing Computer Stuff?

I enjoy getting out and exploring remote places (4WD, hiking and fishing).
I’m also a keen skier, so the cold doesn’t bother me, in fact I prefer it (accompanied by high altitude for bonus points).

When I’m not tinkering with tech, I can be found working out in the shed.
Fixing vehicles, restoring old motorbikes or building new garden beds for my wife.
